Futures mixed; earnings from CVS Time Warner, Visa

NEW YORK (AP) — U.S. futures are mixed with the Dow Jones industrial average nearing multiyear highs again.

Dow Jones industrial futures are flat at 13,910. The broader S&P futures have given up 1.2 points to 1,504.70. Nasdaq futures are down 4.75 points to 2,744.50. The Dow swung by 100 points or more on Friday and Monday and then closed 99.22 points higher Tuesday.

With no economic indicators Wednesday, investors are poring over earnings from companies like CVS Caremark and Time Warner. CVS posted a 6 percent rise in net income during the fourth quarter, thanks in part to new customers and Medicare prescription drug plans.

Time Warner is reporting a 51 percent profit jump, citing rising fees from cable and satellite companies and higher ad revenue at its TV networks. Visa is expected to report after the markets close.
