Amy Adams tries out her Oscar lines, and shoes

LOS ANGELES (AP) — Amy Adams mixed show business with shoe business at Oscar rehearsals.

The Oscar presenter and nominee arrived at the Dolby Theatre Friday in practical rain boots, which she instantly traded for sky-high silver stilettos. The 39-year-old star of "American Hustle" stepped out on stage in jeans, a gray sweater, no makeup and those shiny heels to practice her lines. As soon as she finished, she kicked off the shoes and padded back over to her boots barefoot.

She dug a pair of socks out from inside. "My sport socks," she said, putting them on. "Because I'm working out later." Then she slung her heels over her shoulder and headed out.
