DETROIT (AP) — Eminem's childhood home in Detroit has been demolished.
MLive.com (http://bit.ly/1dhC70q ) reports that a crew took down the house Wednesday. The boarded-up bungalow is pictured on the cover of the rapper's recently released "The Marshall Mathers LP 2." It also was on his 2000 album "The Marshall Mathers LP."
A fire earlier this month damaged portions of the small home's top floor. The Michigan Land Bank says in a statement that the home was "structurally unsafe" after the fire. The Michigan Land Bank is a state agency. It owns the property.
Workers are expected to finish removing debris on the lot by the end of the month.
