STOCKHOLM (AP) — A Swedish passenger train carrying 132 passengers has partly derailed in eastern Sweden, resulting in about a dozen travelers being treated for minor injuries.
The national railway service, SJ, says one of the passengers was sent to hospital after the incident, but it was not clear whether the person had suffered serious injuries. It was not immediately clear what caused the last three cars of the train to derail in the vicinity of the small town of Stode early Monday morning. Investigators were arriving at the scene.
The train was on its way from Sweden's second largest city, Goteborg, to the small skiing resort of Storlien in western Sweden, close to the Norwegian border, when the train derailed.
