COPENHAGEN, Denmark (AP) — Denmark's central bank has increased its key lending rate by 0.1 percentage points to 0.3 percent.
The Nationalbank said Thursday's rate increase will take effect Friday. The central bank tries to keep the national currency's value stable against the euro and sometimes moves interest rates up and down slightly to help.
Denmark is a member of the European Union but not one of the 17 countries that use the euro.
