Serb shot and wounded in Kosovo

PRISTINA, Kosovo (AP) — Police say a Serb working for Kosovo's ethnic Albanian authorities has been wounded in a drive-by shooting.

The attack occurred late Friday in the northern town of Mitrovica, which is divided between predominantly ethnic Albanians of Muslim faith and Orthodox Christian Serbs. Police say the shooting wounded 28-year-old Dusan Milosavljevic in a leg and an arm. He is the deputy head of Kosovo's office that deals with the Serb part of Mitrovica.

Kosovo seceded from Serbia in 2008, but Serbia has rejected the move. The office where the shooting victim works is largely symbolic because Serbs boycott it.
