Kessler to fight Froch in super middleweight fight

LONDON (AP) — Mikkel Kessler will fight Carl Froch in a super-middleweight rematch in Britain in a titles bout expected to be one of the most anticipated of 2013.

No date or venue has been confirmed for a rematch of the 2010 fight that Kessler won on a unanimous points decision in his native Denmark. The 33-year-old Kessler is the WBA champion and has won 46 of his 48 fights — 35 by knockout. Froch (30-2, 22 KO) holds the IBF belt, which the British fighter took off Lucien Bute in May 2011.

Froch says "this is the fight that I want more than anything in the world." Kessler says on Tuesday, "I don't care where we fight — I said anytime, anywhere ... I am ready for war."
