Chris Robshaw retains England captaincy

LONDON (AP) — Chris Robshaw has retained the England captaincy for a second successive Six Nations.

A year after first appointing Robshaw, coach Stuart Lancaster says Robshaw has "grown as a leader on and off the field." Lancaster hailed Robshaw's leadership qualities during the autumn test matches that culminated in England unexpectedly beating New Zealand 38-21.

Robshaw will lead England out for the Six Nations opener against Scotland on Feb. 2 at Twickenham. The Harlequins flanker says "our focus is on building on the New Zealand performance and getting a result against Scotland."

England was second in last season's Six Nations.
