Cagliari-Juventus switched to Parma on Friday

MILAN (AP) — Cagliari's Serie A match against defending champion Juventus will be played at Parma due to ongoing work at the Sardinian team's home ground.

The Italian league says on Wednesday that Friday's game will be at Parma's Stadio Tardini after the local council refused to grant Cagliari a temporary safety certificate. The Tardini is more than 780 kilometers from Cagliari's Is Arenas Stadium.

Approximately 15,000 tickets have already been sold for what was set to be a sell-out match against the Serie A leader. Last season's home match against Juventus, where the Bianconeri mathematically won the Serie A title, was moved to Trieste.
