Valencia signs forward Feghouli until 2016

VALENCIA, Spain (AP) — Valencia says forward Sofiane Feghouli has agreed to extend his contract with the club by two more years until 2016.

The club did not release the financial details of the deal. Feghouli had a breakout campaign last season when he filled in admirably after the exit of winger Juan Mata to Chelsea, scoring six goals. The 23-year-old French player has scored three goals for Valencia this season, his third with the Spanish club.

Valencia has made the knockout round of the Champions League and is in ninth place in the Spanish league.
