Panionios beats Levadiakos 2-1 in Greek league

ATHENS, Greece (AP) — Panionios won for the first time in more than two months when it beat visiting Levadiakos 2-1 in the Greek league on Saturday.

In that time, Panionios had lost six out of seven matches. It climbed to sixth place, just behind Levadiakos. Andreas Samaris opened the scoring in the 28th minute for Panionios and Stelios Vasileiou equalized in the 42nd for the visitors. Captain Fanouris Goundoulakis scored Panionios' winner with 11 minutes to go.

Also, AEK Athens rallied from a goal down in the second half to beat visiting OFI 2-1. League leader Olympiakos' game at Panthrakikos was postponed due to accumulated snow on the field. The game will be played on Sunday, weather permitting.

Olympiakos has a 13-point lead over PAOK, which hosts Xanthi on Sunday.
