Injured Pazzini left off Milan squad to face Barca

MILAN (AP) — Forward Giampaolo Pazzini has been left out of AC Milan's squad for Tuesday's Champions League match with Barcelona with a bruised right leg.

Defender Philippe Mexes and midfielder Kevin-Prince Boateng were included despite struggling with muscle problems over the past few days. Pazzini was injured during Friday's 2-0 win over Genoa. Milan takes a 2-0 first-leg lead into Tuesday's match at the Camp Nou.

With Mario Balotelli cup tied after transferring from Manchester City last month, 20-year-old Stephan El Shaarawy, who has scored a team-high 16 goals in Serie A this season, will be expected to lead the Rossoneri attack.

Other options in attack include Boateng, Bojan Krkic and 18-year-old M'Baye Niang.
