GLASGOW, Scotland (AP) — Teemu Pukki scored on his Celtic debut Saturday as the Glasgow side prepared for its Champions League match at AC Milan by beating Hearts 3-1 in the Scottish Premiership.
Kris Commons put Celtic in front in the 18th minute from the penalty spot after Jamie Hamill handled. Jason Holt equalized in the 56th with a deflected strike, but Anthony Stokes restored Celtic's lead nine minutes later by volleying into the net from 12 yards (meters).
Stokes then set up Pukki, the former Schalke forward, to head home in the 85th. Celtic, which is at Milan on Wednesday, is three points behind leader Inverness with a game in hand. Inverness won 2-1 at Kilmarnock.
Hearts is on minus eight points after being docked 15 points for going into bankruptcy protection.
