CAIRO (AP) — Egyptian airport and security officials say authorities are conducting a search for a French woman who failed to show up for her connecting flight to France.
The airport officials said Saturday the woman had arrived from Accra, Ghana on Oct. 29 and was escorted to a hotel near the airport while waiting for her connecting flight the next day to France. The officials said the woman failed to turn up for her flight. They said the airline only reported her missing after failing to locate her.
Security officials said the 25-year old woman was reported missing to all police stations. They said the circumstances of her disappearance are still not clear. All officials spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to brief the media.
