Austrian woman says urn with dad's ashes stolen

VIENNA (AP) — The woman had just returned home in Vienna, carrying the cremated ashes of her father.

As she unlocked the front door, her phone began ringing inside. So she placed a tote bag containing the urn down and went inside to answer the call. When she came back outside Thursday, the bag was gone.

Police said Friday that one or more thieves also made off with a shopping bag of groceries the woman was carrying. An effort is now under way to recover the stolen goods.
