Small incendiary bomb at Greek minister's office

ATHENS, Greece (AP) — Greek police say a small incendiary bomb has exploded outside the private office of the country's Interior Minister, causing minor damage and no injury.

A police statement says the home-made device detonated late Tuesday outside the fourth-floor office in central Athens used by Yiannis Mihelakis. There has been no claim of responsibility. Similar attacks, using simple bombs made of linked camping gas canisters, are typically carried out by small anarchist groups protesting government social and economic policies.

Greece is in the throes of its worst financial crisis in decades, with record high unemployment amid a six-year recession.
