SOCHI SCENE: Casting a shadow

KRASNAYA POLYANA, Russia (AP) — Unusual photo alert: Associated Press photographer Charlie Riedel captures a fan wrapped in an American flag arriving at the ski venue of the Sochi Olympics.

Note something missing all around him: snow.
