Burns, Lawes named in England's 23-man squad

LONDON (AP) — Flyhalf Freddie Burns is set to make his debut for England in Saturday's test against New Zealand after being named in the 23-man squad for the match at Twickenham.

Giant lock Courtney Lawes returns to contention after a knee injury in place of Mouritz Botha, in the only other change to the squad from the 16-15 loss to South Africa on Saturday. Both Burns and Lawes are likely to start on the bench against the world champion All Blacks, who are unbeaten in 2012, when England coach Stuart Lancaster names his team on Thursday.

The highly rated Burns takes the place in the squad of Toby Flood, who has been ruled out with a toe problem. England has also lost to Australia this month.
