UK police looking for missing terror suspect

LONDON (AP) — Police say counterterrorism officials are searching for a suspected terrorist who went missing in Britain five days ago.

Scotland Yard said that 28-year-old Ibrahim Magag violated his control notice by failing to return to his designated residence on Wednesday. Police said Monday that Magag, who is of Somali origin, is not considered to be a direct threat to the public. He is subject to the control notice to prevent him from raising funds and traveling overseas, police said.

They added that his disappearance is not believed to be linked to any terrorism planning in Britain. Police said Magag was reportedly last seen in north London on Wednesday.
