Tuilagi fit to face Ireland in Six Nations

LONDON (AP) — Manu Tuilagi has recovered from an ankle injury and could form an exciting midfield partnership with Billy Twelvetrees in England's Six Nations match against Ireland on Sunday.

The Samoa-born center will resume full training on Tuesday after missing the 38-18 victory over Scotland at Twickenham on Saturday, when Twelvetrees deputized and performed impressively in a try-scoring debut.

With Tuilagi likely to start in his favored outside-center position, Twelvetrees and Brad Barritt appear to be fighting for the spot inside him. England coach Stuart Lancaster says "Manu brings a unique set of skills and attributes to the game and the team."

Lancaster said Monday that No. 8 Ben Morgan is struggling to recover from an ankle injury. Ireland also won its first match in the Six Nations, beating Wales 30-22.
