EDINBURGH, Scotland (AP) — Australia openers Aaron Finch and Shaun Marsh had a field day as they notched centuries in a rare one-day international against lowly Scotland to tally 362-3 under a gray Edinburgh sky on Tuesday.
The visitors were in much need of a boost after their Ashes series loss to England. Finch pushed his claim for a permanent spot in the ODI side with his maiden century in the 50-over form, scoring 148 off just 116 balls, including 16 fours and seven sixes.
Marsh took a slightly steadier approach, making 151 off 149 with 16 boundaries and five sixes. They shared 246 before they were broken. Marsh and Shane Watson, 37, added another 101 before they were dismissed in successive balls by Iain Wardlaw, 2-69, in the 48th over.
