Birthday boy Berbatov helps Fulham to victory

LONDON (AP) — Dimitar Berbatov scored on his 32nd birthday to help Fulham to a 3-1 victory over London rival West Ham in the English Premier League on Wednesday.

The Bulgaria striker set Fulham on its way with a 10th-minute opener from what appeared to be an offside position, only for Kevin Nolan to equalize in the 48th. Hugo Rodallega restored the hosts' lead and an own goal by Joey O'Brien sealed only their second win of 2013, lifting the team above West Ham back into mid-table.

West Ham, which is seven points clear of the relegation zone in 13th, is winless in four league matches and six games in all competitions stretching back to Jan. 1.
