MILAN (AP) — Inter Milan has completed the signing of defender Rolando on loan from Porto in a move which sees the Portugal international reunited with former Napoli coach Walter Mazzarri.
The Serie A club announced the deal on Saturday after Rolando passed a medical. No details of the length of the loan have been released. Inter coach Mazzarri signed Rolando on loan for Napoli in January, but the center back made only seven league appearances.
Rolando will help ease the club's defensive crisis. Walter Samuel is out injured while Cristian Chivu may be forced into early retirement with persistent ankle problems.
