Swansea, West Ham ends 0-0 in EPL

SWANSEA, Wales (AP) — West Ham picked up a hard-earned point on the road with a 0-0 draw at Swansea in the Premier League on Sunday.

The Hammers' dead-ball threat troubled Swansea with Angel Rangel hooking a long free kick from Razvan Rat off the line while Guy Demel and Kevin Nolan also had good chances. At the other end, West Ham goalkeeper Jussi Jaaskelainen made two point-blank stops to deny Chico Flores and Wilfried Bony.

Swansea had a penalty appeal for handball against Joe Cole turned down in stoppage time after a cross from Nathan Dyer. West Ham is 15th with nine points from nine games, two points behind Swansea in ninth.
