HULL, England (AP) — Hull goalkeeper Allan McGregor is expected to remain hospitalized at least one more week after suffering kidney damage during an English Premier League match.
The Scotland international is recovering in the high dependency unit of a London hospital after colliding with Mohamed Diame in the first half of a 2-1 loss at West Ham on Wednesday. McGregor was sent off after the incident then taken to the hospital.
Hull manager Steve Bruce visited McGregor and said he was expected to miss the rest of the season after "badly" damaging one of his kidneys. Steve Harper is set to replace McGregor for Saturday's match at Stoke.
