Vonn wins WCup super-G race in Switzerland

ST. MORITZ, Switzerland (AP) — Lindsey Vonn won a World Cup super-G on Saturday to stay unbeaten in four speed races this season.

The American racer timed 1 minute, 2.71 seconds, beating World Cup overall leader Tina Maze of Slovenia by 0.37 seconds. Julia Mancuso of the United States was third, 1.01 behind Vonn. Vonn earned her 57th career World Cup win, second all-time, and her 20th in super-G.

Vonn swept the three-race downhill and super-G program last weekend at Lake Louise, Alberta, but was put under pressure by failing to score here Friday when Maze won the super-combined. The race was run on a shortened course after a forecast of strong wind up the mountain.
