Juventus, Alexis Sanchez top AP soccer poll

LONDON (AP) — Juventus tops this week's Associated Press global soccer poll after becoming the first team to defeat Roma this season and opening an eight-point league lead.

Alexis Sanchez is first in the player vote after his hat trick in Barcelona's 4-0 triumph over Elche kept the Blaugrana atop the Spanish league on goal difference over Atletico Madrid. Villarreal forward Ikechukwu Uche is second after scoring three times in a 5-2 victory against Rayo Vallecano.
