Germany: Moroccan man accused of spitting at, insulting Jews

BERLIN (AP) — German police say they temporarily detained a Moroccan man who is accused of threatening, insulting and spitting at two Jews in the northern city of Hamburg. Police said in a statement Friday the 45-year-old was insulting the two Jewish men Thursday near city hall when they called a nearby police officer for help. When the officer confronted the Moroccan, he first tried to run away but then turned to the two men and spat at them.
