How do I start using the mail.com Cloud?

After you log in, look for the top navigation bar.
Click on "Photos & Files" to immediately start using your free cloud storage.
To copy files from your computer’s hard drive to your mail.com cloud storage, just click + Add > Upload files. Even easier, simply drag and drop files from your computer’s file manager directly into your Photos & Files tab.
After you have uploaded photos and documents, you can keep things organized using + Add > Create folder.
To save email attachments that others send you, simply select the attachment and click > Save (Cloud) to store it here safely.

Can I use the cloud feature with the mail.com mobile app?

Yes! Both the mail.com iOS app and Android app feature a highly intuitive online storage function. You can access any and all files, photos, and videos that you have saved to your Photos & Files, create and manage folders, activate automatic photo backup, and upload selected photos directly from your smartphone to your mail.com cloud storage.

How do I use the cloud to share files?

Log in to your mail.com account
Go to > Photos & Files
Select the file you wish to share by checking the box that appears on the left of the file
This opens up a menu in the top navigation bar
Clicking > Share creates a guest link for the selected file
After you send the link to the desired recipient(s), they can view or download the file

What if I want to send files as attachments instead?

If you would rather send the file as an email attachment, simply choose > Send from the menu after selecting the file. This opens up your Compose E-mail window with the file already attached, so all you have to do is type an email address and a subject and hit > Send.

Where is my data actually stored?

The digital documents, photos, videos, etc. that our customers save in the cloud are stored on our highly secure servers, which are operated redundantly and updated regularly. The mail.com data center in the United States is located in Lenexa, Kansas.
