mail.com Cloud sync: New software for Mac and PC

mail.com introduces an easy way to download and/or share cloud docs and photos: With the new mail.com Cloud sync tool for Windows or Mac, files saved in the mail.com Cloud can also be made available offline.
Chesterbrook, PA. mail.com today announced the launch of the mail.com Cloud sync tool. The app integrates individual folders directly into the file management of the operating system and makes file sharing even easier. The free app is now available for Windows and macOS.

Lean and efficient: After installation and initial setup, the new software starts automatically in the background at every system startup and connects to the mail.com Cloud. Complex submenus were deliberately avoided in the development of the software. Instead, users get access to their data directly where it is most often needed: In the file explorer of Microsoft Windows or in the Finder of macOS.

Manage shares and offline availability via context menu

This makes it easy to move or copy files from the cloud drive to the local hard drive. Right-clicking in the file browser calls up new options in the context menu to manage shares or make files available offline. Individual data in the cloud folder is saved to the local hard drive and can be viewed and edited here even without an Internet connection. As soon as the computer goes back online, the data is synchronized to the cloud in the current version.

Secure connection to servers in mail.com data centers

The connection to the company's own cloud storage data centers is SSL encrypted. Users benefit from the strictest privacy and security guidelines. The data centers are highly secure and operated redundantly to protect against data loss.
The current version of the mail.com Cloud sync tool for Windows can be downloaded here; the version for macOS is available for download here.
