Your mail.com Cloud on your computer

And thanks to the new update, the Cloud on your computer now works even faster and more smoothly.
What’s new in this update
This update brings several technical improvements: Files not only open much faster, they’re also better integrated into your file system. And with the new activity window, you always know which processes are running in your Cloud. Here’s what has changed:
1. Opening and saving files is now much faster
Previously, opening or saving a file could take a few seconds until everything was fully loaded. With the update, we’ve introduced a2. The Cloud now appears as a normal folder
From now on, both Windows and macOS will display your Cloud not as an external drive, but as a regular folder in your file manager. This means you can move files back and forth using drag and drop. Files are no longer copied by default; they’re actually moved, just like you’re used to with other folders.Pro tip: Want to copy a file instead of moving it? Hold down the Alt key on Windows or the Option key on your Mac while dragging.
3. The new status icons show what’s happening
In Finder (Mac) and File Explorer (Windows), you’ll now see a small symbol next to each file. It indicates whether the file is currently syncing, already saved, or being uploaded or downloaded. You’ll also see a bar or circle that shows the progress of uploads or downloads. This means that a quick glance is enough to show you whether your files are fully saved in the mail.com Cloud.
4. The new activity window provides more transparency
The update also includes a brand-new activity window, where you can see exactly- which files are being transferred,
- whether any syncs are still running in the background, and
- the progress of these actions.
5. Improved search for Cloud files
Last but not least, your Cloud files will now appear in your computer’s built-in search. In other words, when you search for a file by name in macOS Spotlight or the Windows search bar, the system will also display Cloud file results directly in your Finder or File Explorer.Cloud for Windows and macOS at a glance:
